Just by chance I found Snatum Kaur on iTunes. I was downloading The Essence by Deva Premal (because the music keeps popping up everywhere I go so I thought it must be a sign), and Snatum’s face leapt out at me from an album cover that was on the list that “other people had also bought”.
There was this huge feeling of love I got when I looked at her face, so I clicked on her album and downloaded a song Ek Ong Kar. OMG, I LOVE this song and when I listen to it, I feel instantly better. It’s got a really high vibration, in fact, I believe all her music does, as I’ve been listening on youtube too.
I thought I would share a few video’s with you. As a background she was born in America, but raised as a Sikh. She was playing music at a very young age and used to play at Sikh temples with her mother. All her songs are actually chants.
The website states “Snatam Kaur was introduced to music and spiritual practice at an early age. Schooled in kirtan, meditation, and Gurmukhi, the Sanskrit-based language of Sikh scriptures from Northern India, the young Snatam Kaur began to develop the devotion and skills that have grown and blossomed into a compelling, profound talent.” You can read more of her bibliography here.
She is so beautiful!! I just think she is one of the most beautiful people I have ever seen. I would love to see her in concert one day. Below is my favourite song Ek Ong Kar which by the way means “God is One”.
Enjoy your day! :) Lots of Love to you xx
