I entered a competition on ebay.com.au and I didn’t win the major prize, actually I had forgotten all about it until I received this prize in the post today.

It’s a picnic bag. Sortof. It has the chopping board, knives, corkscrew, towel, wine glasses and pockets for storage. Pretty nifty actually.

Yasu is working late til 8pm tonight, he just called me to say, so I’m just taking my time making dinner at the moment because I like to eat together. I’m boiling pumpkin to make a pumpkin salad, also thinking of making maybe some salt and peppered steak cut into strips with some home-made wasabi mayo, and some dashi-tamago. Probably a small salad to go along with it.

Yesterday was pretty good. It was the first night in a long time I have slept during the night. Despite all my energy work and being tired I feel completely wired most of the time. I have been going to bed around 5am and getting up at 7am and giving healings. I somehow am wide awake and not feeling the least bit tired so I don’t know what’s going on there. I don’t have alot of caffeine, if I do I have it before 12pm so it’s not that.

Anyways, so last night I went to sleep and slept from 9pm to 3am! When I woke up at 3am I was so awake so I got up and had a cup of tea. Yasu got up at 4:30am to go to work and left at 5am so I was on my lonesome again.

The manager from the community centre called me today and told me that they are starting classes there again next week. I’m thinking of going down on Thursday or Friday and enrolling for the sewing class. It’s learning how to use a sewing machine and creating your own clothes, so it’s kind of exciting as that’s what I’ve been wanting to do.

They are also having French language learning and I’m thinking of giving it a shot, just for fun really. The challenge of learning another language.

This morning I downloaded an application to my ipod touch that has all the kanji and vocab for the JLPT 1-4. (I’ve already passed 4 and 3) I’m currently trying to study for 2 and I realised that about half the kanji in level 2 I am already familiar with so that was good. :) I guess it must be all that nhk news watching because that’s my only big contact with Japanese language every day.

I read on their website that they are currently making a new level that will fit in between level 2 and 3 because the jump from level 3 to 2 is quite big. This will mean there will be 5 levels instead of just 4. I guess all the study books will be changed but I just have to wait and see. Oh, and from now on you will be able to sit for level 1 twice per year! That’s pretty good. At least if you don’t make it the first time you can have another go in six months.

I don’t really have a ‘goal’, there’s no real big reason why I want to get to level 1 other than I think it would be a great achievement for me. I also want to get to the level of fluency that I can have a ripping good conversation with my in-laws. I can speak, and I can understand, but I’d like to be native level, just because.

Anyway, gotta go save the pumpkin!! Enjoy your evening! :)
