Well, I’ve been abit MIA the last few days. I’ve had such a busy weekend! But it’s been sooo good :)
Saturday Yasu worked all day, and I went to meet a friend. We met at 3pm and had coffee and talked, and talked, and talked…and then finally the cafe staff kicked us out at just after 5pm because they were closing. We wandered out of the shopping centre and sat on a brick wall nearby and continued talking, then realised that it was 6:3opm! Time had flown. Anyway, my friend gave me a lift home and we made some tentative plans to meet up and do a jewellery making class.
Yasu was already home and had already cooked himself dinner. Gold star husband you rock. :) So I just heated up my dinner and we ate together.
Sunday Yasu and I got busy in the front garden. It had been swamped out with weeds and even though we had made a garden with roses and other flowers when we moved here, because of my illness during the last 2 years, it became really unkempt and I had an idea I wanted to change it and put in a hedge for privacy. So I donned my gardening gloves and went to work pulling out all the weeds, and Yasu got the shovel out and started removing soil. Our area is full of red clay sand, so we need to get some proper soil delivered next weekend to fill in where Yasu has removed the soil. (Pictures in a private post later).
So we spent most of Sunday digging and weeding. Sometime around 12 I went inside and made lunch for Yasu and I continued to courier glasses of water out to him because he was sweating heaps out there in the sun. After lunch we did a bit more, I swept up all the sand and put the weeds in the bin and then we went to a few hardware stores and gardening centres to get some supplies.
We found this really cool succulent in a funky bright red pot, and we love it so much we had to buy it. It now has pride of place on our kitchen table.
I feel much better having some living greenery inside, I knew it was missing before. Basil is giving out his healing vibes. Oh and yes, he told me his name was Basil, so that’s what we now call him. :)
Then, because Yasu had re-varnished the deck, we rearranged the patio furniture, and some other plants we bought, and had dinner outside with some lanterns and candles lit for light.
It was so refreshing to be outside, having dinner by candlelight together.
Then, because Yasu had worked on Saturday, he had yesterday (Monday) off. It was nice to have him home, although I slept most of the morning because my muscles from all the garden work were stiff and in pain. I got up about 11, did some housework and then Yasu dropped me off to my class on psychic development at 1pm.
The class was abit of a fizzer because basically the guy knew nothing, he was very touchy feely which I don’t like, and he only did one meditation and then sat down and read his essays about love and his relationship problems for the next two hours, giving group hugs in between. I felt yuck after the class finished and I won’t be going back. I felt like he had sullied my aura and I literally had to have another shower and clean it after I got home because I felt so yucked out.
Monday afternoon Yasu and I did abit more cleaning up, in fact we are getting the baby’s room ready. At the moment it is full of junk. But I was told eons ago by a few spiritual mediums that if I don’t get that room ready the baby won’t come because it wants to know it has a place, and that we are ready (So we decided to take notice). So Yasu started to clean up the room, lots of boxes of stuff from Japan in there, and we went to a housewares store to get some plastic boxes and baskets for stuff, and basically threw out the junk we don’t need, and put a few boxes of stuff together for charities to sell.
I cooked dinner and we had it out on the patio with lantern light again, but unfortunately we seemed like a good meal for the mozzies. However, it was nice to have face to face time and just be together in nature.
Afterwards, I cleaned up dishes and then we went back to the room and sorted through some more boxes and decided what to chuck and what to keep. It’s coming along. I would say we are halfway there.
We fell into bed about 11pm and I was totally bushed but Yasu had other ideas…woohoo… :)

lol! sounds like an excellent weekend! and congrats on the weightloss too :) I also heard that losing weight can help your chances with pregnancy..don`t know if it`s true or not but it might be another goal to use as a boost :)

Thanks Luisa. Yeah my gynocologist said that it would boost the chances of getting pregnant and actually having it go right through to birth, so here’s hoping that the next one after losing weight will be a stayer! :)
