Sand Dollar

I woke up this morning at 8:27am. That is the second day I have woken naturally at that time. I was very rested though. If there is one thing that I like about energy work is that it makes me sleep very well! No more insomnia for me. :)

I had a reading booked and so I immediately got into that and sent it off, later received an email from the person thanking me, so that was nice. I love all the wonderful feedback I’m getting. :0)

I had my drawing class today and it was pretty hot outside but I really felt like stretching my legs with some exercise so I decided to go. I got there to find that two other girls, artists in fact in their own right, had joined the class. They started from the beginning while I got to draw a landscape today. There was a choice of either lillies, hydrangeas, or a sunflower, and I chose a sunflower because of the colour combination of the bright yellow flower and the bright blue sky behind it. I am not usually a fan of sunflowers because I am allergic to them, but it was really nice to draw it.

I haven’t finished yet, I still have to do some detail on the actual flower petals, but today’s work turned out to be rather impressionist! Even the two artist ladies complemented me and told me how great it looked so I’m thrilled :)

After that was over I went to the local shopping centre to do some me therapy, aka retail therapy. Actually it wasn’t so much things I wanted but things I needed.

Firstly, sunglasses. Yasu took me to look at some last week because he’s buying them for me for Christmas. They are much needed because when I walk up to the community centre I’m walking into the sun and I end up squinting and it’s not good for my eyes. I had my eye on a pair last week but today when I went the girl explained that even though they were designer (Guess), they don’t have any protection for your eyes.

I ended up getting a pair of Oakley ‘Ravishing’, because they are really good quality, UV protection of Plutonite® lens material that filters out 100% of UVA / UVB / UVC & harmful blue light up to 400nm,  dark bronze lenses. I really like the brown lenses. Also, the frame is brown but glittery, it’s sooo pretty and right up my alley! So abit expensive, but much more worth it, and I know that I’m looking after my eyes, I would much rather do that than wear designer glasses with no protection.

See the glitter in the frame? You can't really see it until the light shines on it, understated and stylish :)

After that I went to the local spooky shop and the two books I really needed were right on the shelf when I walked in. I’ve been getting alot of symbols and signs when I do readings recently and some of them came up over the weekend, even my teacher didn’t know what they mean. This dictionary has anything and everything you could ever want for symbols and signs, it’s really great.

I also got a book on Australian Animal totems, because animals keep showing up in every reading I do, and although I have an animal totem book, it has mostly American animals (based around Native American spirit worship). The book I got is based around Australian animals which is good because this morning in a reading I got an Emu! And I had no clue…I had to go by what Ostrich means but luckily it’s pretty much the same meaning. :)

Afterwards I skipped into the supermarket and bought some fresh fruit; kiwi fruit, oranges, pears, banana’s, and apples. Also bought some prunes, and some caramel corn on a whim.

Then I went to Dome and treated myself to a Citron Presse. Was very refreshing and delicious especially as today was really hot!

I’m planning on cooking some aussie beef and salad again tonight and I’ve got a chocolate swiss roll for dessert later :)

Baby, You Wear Me Out

Yesterday was a ball, met up with my two highschool friends and their two boys aged around 5 (they both have 2 girls at school), and their babies, one 1 year and the other 6 months.

They were both very cute and seemed very attracted to me, lots of playing, but boy was I glad when I could hand them back and go home, it just wears me out keeping them entertained!! Who knew babies were so much work!

When I got home I made a quick dinner, Yasu came home, we ate and then I was so shattered I laid down on the bed and slept for 2 hours!

It started raining thankfully as the humidity was 70% yesterday and the flies were terrible!

I received an email from a lady who had had a card reading from me the day before and she blew me away. While I was reading for her I kept getting an image of a pale grey horse with big dark eyes. I just couldn’t get rid of the image so I wrote it down in her reading. Lo and behold, she emails me back to say that she has 3 horses and her favourite is a pale grey horse with big dark eyes who is 2 years old and who she has a very strong connection with!

Just another lesson in trusting myself!

I’m off to the community centre today, we are having a belly dancing lesson, but I’m not sure I will be able to participate because of my collarbone.

In any case, tonight is the Annual General Meeting and I’ve been asked to be on the committee by the Manager of the community centre because she likes some of the ideas I came up with. I’ll be coming up with ideas for future community projects, so I’m looking forward to that. :)

Upside-down Peach Cake

I’ve been feeling the creative urge today, since yesterday I couldn’t get it out of my system with drawing. So I made an upside-down peach cake to take to the picnic tomorrow. It was really simple; self-raising flour, eggs, caster sugar, vanilla essence, brown sugar, butter, and peaches.

Of course as soon as it had come out the oven my little mouse was waiting for some “just a bit from the corner”, he said. And then two minutes later he was back for “just a bit more”. I had to wrap it up and put it in the fridge so he wouldn’t devour it! It is yum though, the peaches give it alot of flavour and the cake is very moist. I’ll post the recipe later if anyone wants it. (Oh and I used tinned peaches…a little bit of cheating there!)

I got another reading tonight, the lady who I read for today told her daughter about the reading and recommended she have one, so she contacted me for a reading for herself. Sweet! :)

A Break

I’ve fractured my collar-bone :( Which means I can’t move my neck from side to side, look down, or move my left shoulder and arm without major pain. How did I do it? I walked into the door frame.

No really.

I’ve been really clumsy lately, and off-balance I walked straight into it, with my collar-bone bearing the brunt.

So of course I couldn’t go to my drawing class today because I can’t look down. :( No pretty asagaos today. I probably won’t be able to do the belly-dancing or yoga this week either.

On the upside I got another card reading request today, plus a few other people have expressed interest. I also got some lovely feedback from the lady I read for, who said that she was really happy with the reading. I’m pretty chuffed about it :)

I’m meeting up with some highschool friends tomorrow, Kerry and Jodie. They both have just had babies, so no doubt I’ll be doing loads of coochie-cooing! :) We always have a laugh when we get together, so that will be medicine for the soul. I’m going to bake a cake tonight to take with me.

Also got to go pick up a papa-san tonight that I bought online, it’s for meditation in my healing room. Yasu’s on his way home now, so we’ll go soon.

Magical Day

I was woken up nice and early this morning by my first client. He wanted a massage, because he’s a sports player and has stiff muscles. I explained that I don’t usually massage guys because I’m home alone, but he really seemed keen, and so I said if he didn’t mind coming when my husband is at home, either a weeknight or weekend, then I don’t have a problem. He agreed with that, and he is coming in a couple of weeks for the massage!

After the phone call, (I was still in bed), I snuggled down in bed to get cosy, and the doorbell rang. Another parcel from Hokkaido, with lots of goodies, though mostly Yasu’s. I realised then that sleep wasn’t going to happen, and decided to get up and explore the box of goodies.

Present from sister in law

These slippers have an arch in the sole and make your feet soft if you wear them every day

Honyaradoh Lavender gift basket

The two pictures above are presents to me from Yasu’s sister. The gift basket has soaps, bath salts, petals, towels and toiletries in Lavender fragrance from Honyaradoh. She also bought Yasu a sheep from Honyaradoh that is for massaging your back. She always buys the most unique, cool gifts for us, very thoughtful!

It’s pretty cute isn’t? Their website has sooo many cute things on there, to enhance your life! I know where to go to send Yasu’s sister something back. :)

A present from Otoosan & Okaasan
Yasu’s mum and dad bought me this beautiful pair of wedge high heels. They are sooo lovely, and were totally unexpected. I don’t wear high heels alot, but these are kind of in the middle, so not too high, and I will wear them when I go out somewhere nice.

Chicky
Yasu’s dad saved me this little pink egg piggy bank with cute chicky inside, it was a gift from his insurance company.

Qoo

And mum saved me a bag of Qoo forks from the top of a bottle of drink. :)

They’re not expensive gifts, but they come from their hearts, so they are my treasures!

They also sent me some essentials:

Bathclean bath salts, Shiseido Tsubaki shampoo, Kumano Tsubaki cleansing foam, and Shiseido lip balm

Bathclean bath salts, Shiseido Tsubaki shampoo, Kumano Tsubaki cleansing foam, and Shiseido lip balm

Plus some bento containers/supplies, and lots of other stuff for Yasu.

After unpacking it all, I checked my email and found that I had a payment for a card reading. My second client of the day!

I did the card reading and sent it to her, and she confirmed that everything I had said was right on the money with regards to where she is and what’s happening. I am really happy I could give her some insight, and happy with myself for being able to do this work. :)

I only yesterday asked the Angels if they could send me some “work”, and they reciprocated by sending it to me so fast! I’m really happy!
