Sand Dollar

I woke up this morning at 8:27am. That is the second day I have woken naturally at that time. I was very rested though. If there is one thing that I like about energy work is that it makes me sleep very well! No more insomnia for me. :)

I had a reading booked and so I immediately got into that and sent it off, later received an email from the person thanking me, so that was nice. I love all the wonderful feedback I’m getting. :0)

I had my drawing class today and it was pretty hot outside but I really felt like stretching my legs with some exercise so I decided to go. I got there to find that two other girls, artists in fact in their own right, had joined the class. They started from the beginning while I got to draw a landscape today. There was a choice of either lillies, hydrangeas, or a sunflower, and I chose a sunflower because of the colour combination of the bright yellow flower and the bright blue sky behind it. I am not usually a fan of sunflowers because I am allergic to them, but it was really nice to draw it.

I haven’t finished yet, I still have to do some detail on the actual flower petals, but today’s work turned out to be rather impressionist! Even the two artist ladies complemented me and told me how great it looked so I’m thrilled :)

After that was over I went to the local shopping centre to do some me therapy, aka retail therapy. Actually it wasn’t so much things I wanted but things I needed.

Firstly, sunglasses. Yasu took me to look at some last week because he’s buying them for me for Christmas. They are much needed because when I walk up to the community centre I’m walking into the sun and I end up squinting and it’s not good for my eyes. I had my eye on a pair last week but today when I went the girl explained that even though they were designer (Guess), they don’t have any protection for your eyes.

I ended up getting a pair of Oakley ‘Ravishing’, because they are really good quality, UV protection of Plutonite® lens material that filters out 100% of UVA / UVB / UVC & harmful blue light up to 400nm,  dark bronze lenses. I really like the brown lenses. Also, the frame is brown but glittery, it’s sooo pretty and right up my alley! So abit expensive, but much more worth it, and I know that I’m looking after my eyes, I would much rather do that than wear designer glasses with no protection.

See the glitter in the frame? You can't really see it until the light shines on it, understated and stylish :)

After that I went to the local spooky shop and the two books I really needed were right on the shelf when I walked in. I’ve been getting alot of symbols and signs when I do readings recently and some of them came up over the weekend, even my teacher didn’t know what they mean. This dictionary has anything and everything you could ever want for symbols and signs, it’s really great.

I also got a book on Australian Animal totems, because animals keep showing up in every reading I do, and although I have an animal totem book, it has mostly American animals (based around Native American spirit worship). The book I got is based around Australian animals which is good because this morning in a reading I got an Emu! And I had no clue…I had to go by what Ostrich means but luckily it’s pretty much the same meaning. :)

Afterwards I skipped into the supermarket and bought some fresh fruit; kiwi fruit, oranges, pears, banana’s, and apples. Also bought some prunes, and some caramel corn on a whim.

Then I went to Dome and treated myself to a Citron Presse. Was very refreshing and delicious especially as today was really hot!

I’m planning on cooking some aussie beef and salad again tonight and I’ve got a chocolate swiss roll for dessert later :)

Arty Farty

Yesterday I went to my first class of mixed media drawing at the community centre. When I arrived I found out that I was the only person who had enrolled in the course! Luckily, the teacher was still happy to go along and teach me, so I had one-on-one time with her for the whole hour.

A is an artist herself, taught by another artist who’s paintings sell from $2,000 upwards, and who is well known in Australia. She showed me a layering technique that is used with pastels to create lots of depth in drawing.

Because I had her concentrated attention for one hour, I actually combined two lessons into one, learning more. The first piece was drawn in 3 colours, from a study of a black and white photo. I chose green, three shades of green, to draw a clump of trees together and fading into the distance.

The next lesson, but in my case, in the same class, we could then start from scratch in colour, or do what I did which was add more colour to my existing drawing. I began to shade in more areas of light and dark, and added colours from my imagination, to make it look like I felt.

A was pretty happy with this and said she was really happy with my work. She sprayed it at the end, with a setting spray, so I can hang it on the wall if I like.

Next week we are doing objects, so I’m looking around for some images to take with me, I’m thinking flowers, maybe asagao, as they are my favourite.

Attack of the Magpies

Yasu went back to work today after I spent the weekend healing his leg. I had a really powerful healing for him last night, and was taken into the universal flow, it was so powerful my body was doing figure-8’s from the energy while I was holding his leg. He didn’t know what was happening but he figured it was all good and then this morning he got up and could walk like normal with no pain.

We did have a good weekend together though. We sat around and watched some tv, goofed around, laughed and joked and it was fun. I also went walking which is kind of turning into my love now. I just have this urge to go walking every day, it’s great!

So anyway, today was the day for enrolling in classes down at the community centre, so I walked up there and enrolled in Yoga, Drawing, and Cooking. On the way there I was walking along minding my own business when something hit my head (I was walking across a park), I looked up to see a massive Magpie flying over me and swooping down again. The bloody thing had pecked the back of my head!! God it hurt too!! It tried to swoop on me again and I threw my bag up in the air to try and shoo it off. I was terrified because I’ve heard of those crows attacking and pecking your eyes, but never a magpie. So after I shoo’d it with my bag a couple of times, it stayed away but boy did I hotfoot it across that oval!! haha. It must have looked funny but my head is still really sore and I’m so lucky it didn’t break the skin!

So anyway the courses all start next week. Drawing is on Monday at noon, Yoga is wednesday night, and Cooking is Thursday morning. In between that I have a pretty busy schedule with my weekend Psychic Development courses and I have made a few new friends in the area so I’m going to be doing some meet-ups this week and next week. My life has somehow just taken off!

Tomorrow I’m going to visit my mum, so I’m looking forward to catching up. The best thing I’ve learnt from Abraham in regards to my relationship with my family is that I can still have involvement with them without getting involved in their problems. I can see what they do, but It doesn’t have to affect me, and it’s true. It’s really working for me in that I no longer have any feelings about what they do, because they are doing it to each other, not to me.

So when I catch up with my mum, we have a good day, go out for coffee, walk her dog etc, and I don’t deal with any of the shit that usually happens in their lives because it doesn’t concern me. I’m so much happier for that now. It means I can have a relationship with my mum without any negative feelings.

I found out today that my cousin is 4 months pregnant today. My mum didn’t want to tell me because she thought I would freak out, because her and I started trying at the same time, but actually, I’m happy for her and I don’t feel any hard feelings because I’m really happy in my life and where I’m going. I’m so fulfilled right now. :)

Life is great!!

On my walk today I took a photo of these pink and grey cockies on the grass near me, they were so tame, and didn’t move away when I came near.
