Tonight we went out for an all you can eat buffet at Jaws kaiten zushi. It had changed alot since we last went about 2 years ago. Now you have a time limit (45 minutes) and only one cup of green tea for free. Luckily I took my own bottle of water so I didn’t need to buy a drink, and I got served a cup of green tea which I don’t drink so I gave it to Yasu so he didn’t have to pay for extra. Talk about kechi!!
We got our money’s worth though. Yasu ate 31 plates of sushi (that’s nothing, his record is 42 plates at one time!) and I ate a mere 8 plates. That’s more than my usal 3 or 4 but I was so craving sushi this time around I stuffed myself full! I also had 2 plates of their famous mashed potato sushi and loved it, plus some Takoyaki and Tobiko which was nice. Yasu loves the Ika and Maguro and he’s also a big fan of Takoyaki.
As I have been on the GM lately and usually eat salad for dinner, my stomach has shrunk so much that tonight after those 8 plates I felt that my stomach was really painful and uncomfortable. I took a digestive enzyme to help with digestion and as we walked from the city into Northbridge (a kind of night-life part of the city) it started to work. We decided to go to Utopia and have some bubble tea as a kind of dessert. They have so many different kinds of bubble tea, the newest one being Eternal Love bubble tea, and Winter Love bubble tea. Yasu wasn’t going to have one but then he saw “Oolong Milk Tea” on the menu and decided to have that minus the sago. I had Peach tea with sago which was absolutely delicious! The oolong with milk actually tasted really nice and the big jugs of tea are great value for $3.50.
Inside Utopia there are Karaoke boxes which I didn’t know were there and just saw tonight. We were thinking of going there some other time, we were too full to sing tonight.
It was nice just sitting there and chatting, it felt like we were back on a date. Actually across the road there is a restaurant where we went on our first ever date, so that area has alot of sentimentality about it for us. We also had our Wedding dinner at a restaurant to the side of it.
Ahh, tonight was so nice! On the way home Yasu and I were talking and reminiscing and it was so lovely.
Today we spent most of the day cleaning the house. I had bought some products from an Enjo party I went to and they worked so well and made cleaning very easy! I cleaned both our bathrooms and both the toilets until they were sparkling white, even the bathtub was shining. Yasu kept commenting on how great it looked so I was happy. He was sorting out all our files into the filing cabinet today so we’re finally on top of that.
After dinner Yasu dropped me off at the movies near our house, I had work to do for the movie company, so I had to go see “Confessions of a shopaholic” with Isla Fisher in it (Aussie actress). It was a good movie and really close to the bone for me as in the past I’ve had to wean myself off a shopping addiction, though it wasn’t for brand labels it was more for Hello Kitty and Sanrio and cute stuff. (That’s why I have one room in our house and the shed full up with boxes of it!)

The moral to the story was that shopping might be fun but you can never replace those you love with material possessions, which of course, is so very true! There is a bit of a love theme in there too which is always good for a girly flick.
Anyways, tomorrow we are supposed to be going to the “Save the Faeries” festival in Perth, it’s been organised by my belly dancing teacher who communicates with Faeries. It’s about protecting the environment and will have a heap of performers including belly dancers, music acts, Faeries flittering around, markets, food etc. My friend Jo, her husband and two kids and Yasu and I are going to go and weave some majic hopefully. Taking my camera so hope to upload some pics.
I also want to get the floors mopped tomorrow with some new “wood for good” wood floor cleaner that I bought from Enjo. Looking forward to getting into some more cleaning.
Yasu mentioned tonight that when he gets stable work again he’s going to teach me how to drive so that will be fun. :)
