疲れたのに嬉しい

I’ve been quite sick the last week and on the weekend but I’m not going into it too much other to say than I have really been going through some tough times with my health and on saturday night I thought it might have been the end of me.

I’m now much better than I was though, thanks to Yasu’s care and support. He has been up at night with me when waste was coming from both orifices, helped me clean myself up at times when I looked and felt like hell and we have both emerged at the end of it. I don’t even have my indigestion any more, (touch wood), my body seems to have balanced itself out, I don’t have issues with eating meat or anything, and feeling totally fine once again. Thanks Yasu for being such a nice husband.

In spite of all that was going on over the weekend we had pre-planned a lunch at our house with another couple the week before, and I didn’t feel like cancelling it, and surprise surprise my body actually behaved itself while we had company. (After is another story though!)

We had a Japanese-Czech couple over for lunch, the wife is Japanese and the husband is Czech. They decided to live here as it’s a neutral place for both of them. They are both studying and working, quite hard to do, but their positivity about it all shines through. Neither of them speak each other’s language so they only converse in English – a second language for both of them.

It was a pleasure to have them over and we talked and ate a lot of yummy food. Time flew, and they ended up staying to watch the Sumo review on TV, which was the husband’s first time ever to see Sumo and we were all remarking how the European Sumo wrestlers have such hairy chests… haha :)

Tonight is my last Tarot class..I’m looking forward to it but sad it’s going to end. Though I do intend to do the 2nd and 3rd levels when I get the money. I’m doing her herbal workshop this weekend, so looking forward to that. :)

I’ll leave you with last night’s dessert. Was yum :) (food again…can’t help myself!)

* ★¨`*Fun* ★¨`*

We had a really good day today! Well, it didn’t turn out as expected but way better, in fact.

We had planned a lunch party but just before the weekend most of the people cancelled! We decided to have just one couple over – Aussie guy J/Japanese girl M and in the end they brought two other Japanese girls with them (K and Y) so it was really good. K was from Sapporo, so it was cool to meet someone from our end of Japan.. haha… most people I come into contact with are from 3 places: Osaka, Tokyo, and Saitama. In fact Y was from Saitama too! Maybe everyone is leaving Saitama and going overseas..

Anyway, it turned out that J’s mum and dad are big hippies and used to own a spiritual shop, and his fiance is also into spiritual stuff and wants to learn Tarot. The two other Japanese girls are really into spiritual stuff too so we mostly talked about that and ghost tours and stuff all day which was fun. After lunch they asked me if I could give them a reading, so I got out my angel and fairy cards and also my tarot cards. It was so much fun, really interesting too!

Yasu played a good host and was filling up everyone’s drinks, and he ended up getting really drunk, I think he had like 11 beers or something… Sapporo beer. haha…everyone else was drinking Canadian Club whisky and I was drinking soy milk! (because of my ulcer..)

Anyway, the amount of people was just right, it was good for talking and because we all had the same interests and stuff the time went so quickly! Next thing we know it’s 6pm and they had to go coz the aussie guy had to go to work. I was kinda sad…but we promised to get together again. I made some little gift bags with Japanese snacks for the girls to take home and they were pretty chuffed, kept exclaiming “kawaii” over everything haha, so I’m happy.

Oh, we also had a Jamaican chocolate cheesecake for dessert – it was sooo yum! but very rich… today was definitely therapy for the soul!

Oh yeah and J’s mum is going to run psychic parties and he asked me to do tarot readings at the parties… so that’s kinda cool! I think it would be a lot of fun! :)

So, a very satisfying day. This post is kind of all over the place, I know, so it’s probably hard reading, but I just feel so happy today. It’s so good when you meet like-minded people…and to top it off, I never meet Japanese people interested in spiritual stuff so that was a bonus as well.

:o)

Lunch

Had a great time with Dylan today, lots of catching up and gasbagged for 2 hours, before we parted ways. I left him with BBQ chicken pringles that I brought back from Japan (up until about a month ago we couldn’t get chicken flavour in Aus, and now we can get bbq chicken..but only at certain stores..) so he was a happy chappy. :)

I had fish n’ chips for lunch and a lemon lime and bitters. I actually thought I would drink something alcoholic but I can’t resist a LL&B, and it was 34 outside so it was really refreshing.

Dylan had chicken and leek pie, which certainly looked interesting!

Advertising

This morning I woke up a bit bleary-eyed after only 4 hours sleep but the way my body works now is that I can’t get back to sleep after I’ve woken up so I just got up and had some tea.

I had three readings in my inbox waiting for me to complete so I got on and did those, then later received some more feedback from each of those ladies to tell me how spot on the reading was. Very happy!

I also got an email from a friend who I keep in touch with on Facebook, who invited me out to lunch tomorrow. He’s actually a friend of an old friend of mine, I used to read his blog when he wrote one, and then we moved our friendship to Facebook. The three of us are all into the same bands and all frequent many of the same pubs, or in my case, I used to.

Anyway we are going to a pub for lunch that I used to frequent in my hey day just about every weekend, looking forward to it too!! I think I’ve earnt a beverage :) He told me to “watch out for the guy out the front who preaches about the end of the world”…that will be interesting!

I also got my butt into gear with some advertising today. I am basically going along with word of mouth, and I can’t say it’s not working, just that I want to kick it up a notch. I love what I do and I want to do it all day every day, so I have started to advertise the Reiki aspect of my work as well.

Looking online at printing company websites made me realise how expensive some colour and paper is, so I got to and made my own with the help of Metatron.

I printed them out, 60 total. I then cut them out and when Yasu came home asked him if he wanted to accompany me around the neighbourhood. He did. So we walked around and I distributed the flyers in people’s letterboxes.

We saw a cool UFO and a flying orb on the way! It was amazing… a craft with pulsating white lights. The orb just suddenly flew in front of us while we were watching the UFO, and Yasu for once had no answer for what it was. That is the second UFO I have seen this month. There is something going on around here.

Anyway, the walk took us 45 minutes to complete and I managed to get in a good solid block of housing. It was really good exercise too!! Yasu was even saying how we should do it every night. That’s good, because I have way more flyers!!

I could just go the way of online advertising but what guarantee is there that someone will see it? Also, you are paying for someone to click, who might not necessarily buy a reading. But, if you put it in people’s letterboxes chances are they are going to see it when they open their letterbox. That is 60 people per day, definite sights of what I am advertising. If only 10% react then that is 6 readings for me plus the ensuing word of mouth that results.

It makes much more sense to me to advertise this way than to do it online. The best part is I have absolute creative control and it only costs me the ink and paper, which is not even paid for by me.

Anyway, so that was my day. A very productive one for sure. Looking forward to catching up with Dylan tomorrow and having some fun.

Scrummy Sunday

Had a nice weekend. Saturday while Yasu was at work I got into our bedroom and cleaned it up. Yasu has a tendency to just undress where he is standing and walk out of the clothes leaving them on the floor. So if I don’t pick them up, which I haven’t lately, we end up tripping over his clothes!!

I tidied up our room and bought some vases and some real looking fake flowers to go on our bedside tables, lit some scented candles and rearranged the furniture. I tackled our walk-in-robe and rearranged that, hung up all the clothes and stuff, so now it looks nice. When Yasu came home I lit the candles and took him in and he reckons it looks like a hotel room. I have been making a big effort to keep it nice and tidy, so it will stay looking like that! It’s hard though, with Yasu being so messy.

On Sunday we met a Japanese friend, Yuki, for lunch in the city. She has been here for 1.5 years on a working holiday visa and is now moving up north, and then to Melbourne to study. We farewelled her with a lunch at Miss Maud, and then found out that today is her birthday! So it was a kind of double celebration. Miss Mauds is a Swedish Pastry House and they have a “Viking” all you can eat restaurant and hotel. The food was delicious but the desserts, OMG!! They were divine. I had shuu puffs and princess cake, chocolate torte, lemon tarts, pavlova, lemon torte, fruit…ohhh yummy. Yasu wants to go back for HIS birthday in August.

Afterwards we wandered out, we were all sooo full, and I was almost in pain because my stomach was full to capacity. We took a walk to visit another Japanese friend we knew who was working at a Thai restaurant, who couldn’t make it to the lunch today.

This morning I got a message from another Japanese friend and she is coming over for dinner tonight, she has a daughter, who Yasu loves playing with, so it should be fun!! Wow, we are having a busy social life these days. haha :)

Oh, as an aside, I stopped in at Utopia today and got some cream cheese pan, man are these yummy!! They are always so popular, and I got the last 2! The cream cheese goes all the way to the bottom, the taste is like cheesecake, and the pan is so soft and fresh. Mmm.
