Things I Love Today

True Friends – People who I love so much, who I love to see succeed. People who love to see me succeed and don’t feel the need to compete. Because, when it comes down to it, there is enough for everyone.  I love seeing my friends do well, and their success is my success. When they are happy, so am I. I love all my dear friends who always manage to brighten my day when I hear from them. A simple email or text from a friend is enough to put a smile on my dial. :)

The Domino Effect – I have had this situation arise for me with the work that I do. Since I have been so busy with my healing and readings, I’ve been able to earn a bit of money, so that I was able to donate 10% from last month’s earnings to the Australian Red Cross for the Haiti Earthquake Appeal. I’m really happy that my work has enabled me to keep giving to the wider community of Earth.

Work Evolving – I started off with Reiki healing and readings online, but I am entering a new phase where I feel my work is evolving, and I have started giving face-to-face readings this week due to popular demand. It was scary at first, but once I got the first one over with I realised there was really nothing to worry about and it was all about trusting myself and spirit.

Yasu – He has been such a big help this week, and he’s been so sweet. We’ve had a great time together this week, and he even remembered V-day and said he planned to take me out for dinner on Sunday night, so I should have trusted him to remember.

Chocolate – So grateful that chocolate exists. Chocolate. Mmm. I must have chocolate at least once per day. That is my modus operandi. :)

GO! channel - Watching all the greats like The Partridge Family, Green Acres, Mother and Son, Full House, I dream of Jeannie, Bewitched, The Flintstones, The Jetsons… really love revisiting these old shows with Yasu. It’s funny you know, he really gets the humour of those shows, but not alot of the humour of current shows…so it made me think those shows are really timeless and they definitely have more of a story than today’s series. Last night we caught The Benny Hill show on there and I realised just how sexual that show really was. When I was a kid and watched it I never realised…just thought he was a funny old guy. Anyway, enjoying HD TV, the new flat screen and actually feel motivated to watch tv for the first time in a long time. :)

Fresh Fruit - I have had a craving for fresh fruit all week and I’ve been eating pears, apples, oranges, banana’s, watermelon and pineapple and it’s been soooo delicious!! :)

The last couple of days have been ultra busy for me. I’ve had work pouring in from every channel, and I’ve been busy from the morning until the night. Read more

Hey everyone…I haven’t blogged for a couple of days, I’ve been so busy!

Working at the CC is great, lots of stuff to do though. Spent the better part of monday getting all the decorations ready for the kids christmas parties going on, 3 this week. Also cut out A LOT of christmas trees for the kids christmas art going on this week.

As the teacher didn’t show up for the art class I had to take over and lead them through what they were supposed to be doing. It was good though and I got to make a bit of art myself. :)

Tuesday I spent the first half of the morning printing out achievement certificates for all the playgroups run by the centre. I was amazed to see the variety of weird and wacky names people are naming their kids these days. These are just some of the wacky ones:

Anakin (aka star wars)
Odin
Thor
Oscar
Taj
Khy
Rhayder
Xavier (aka cabbage patch kids)
Akira (that was a girls name…i felt sorry for the poor thing who’s stuck with a boys name)
Cole
Semana

I felt kind of sorry for one poor kid who was called “Wayne”, he must feel really left out having a normal name!! haha

Anyway, the kids are all going on a trip to the local wildlife/koala park here, all 56 of them, so glad I’m not going on that trip!! Those poor koala’s don’t know what gonna hit them.

Oh yeah… also had to make up the Christmas hampers that are part of the raffle going on at the moment, that was fun, also had a small committee meeting with the treasurer about staff Christmas party and where to have it, expenses etc. Then settled down to some paper work and answering calls from the bigwig government departments.

It was all fun but yesterday got off to a bit of a late start as I had someone call me wanting a reiki healing just as I was stepping out the door to go to work, and they were in a bad way so I just told them to come over. It meant I didn’t get to the office until 9:30am, 1 hour late, but the manager understood because she knows what I do.

I also had a reading for someone in Singapore yesterday, and New York the day before that! I’m really going international. :) It’s great. Though I’ve noticed the day that I am the busiest in regards to work, is the day when everyone contacts me for readings/healings. I guess that must be the law of attraction again. :)

In other news…the cards never lie! That’s right. Yasu has got into the habit of doing his own cards now..haha…and he kept getting this one same card “new job, new location”, and we were like “huh?”. So yesterday he calls me and told me he was being transferred to another area to work, in a new kind of work, one that pays more and with lots of cushy prospects. It’s even looking likely that he’ll go work in America next year for a few months. :)

Today I’m off the CC again but not for work, for play! We are making truffles today and some Christmas craft, I believe, so that will be fun. I think if the truffles are good I will make them and take them to the Christmas party we have been invited to on Sunday.

Have a great day everyone :)

Magical Day

I was woken up nice and early this morning by my first client. He wanted a massage, because he’s a sports player and has stiff muscles. I explained that I don’t usually massage guys because I’m home alone, but he really seemed keen, and so I said if he didn’t mind coming when my husband is at home, either a weeknight or weekend, then I don’t have a problem. He agreed with that, and he is coming in a couple of weeks for the massage!

After the phone call, (I was still in bed), I snuggled down in bed to get cosy, and the doorbell rang. Another parcel from Hokkaido, with lots of goodies, though mostly Yasu’s. I realised then that sleep wasn’t going to happen, and decided to get up and explore the box of goodies.

Present from sister in law

These slippers have an arch in the sole and make your feet soft if you wear them every day

Honyaradoh Lavender gift basket

The two pictures above are presents to me from Yasu’s sister. The gift basket has soaps, bath salts, petals, towels and toiletries in Lavender fragrance from Honyaradoh. She also bought Yasu a sheep from Honyaradoh that is for massaging your back. She always buys the most unique, cool gifts for us, very thoughtful!

Massage SheepMassage Sheep

It’s pretty cute isn’t? Their website has sooo many cute things on there, to enhance your life! I know where to go to send Yasu’s sister something back. :)

A present from Otoosan & Okaasan
Yasu’s mum and dad bought me this beautiful pair of wedge high heels. They are sooo lovely, and were totally unexpected. I don’t wear high heels alot, but these are kind of in the middle, so not too high, and I will wear them when I go out somewhere nice.

Chicky
Yasu’s dad saved me this little pink egg piggy bank with cute chicky inside, it was a gift from his insurance company.

Qoo

And mum saved me a bag of Qoo forks from the top of a bottle of drink. :)

They’re not expensive gifts, but they come from their hearts, so they are my treasures!

They also sent me some essentials:

Bathclean bath salts, Shiseido Tsubaki shampoo, Kumano Tsubaki cleansing foam, and Shiseido lip balm

Bathclean bath salts, Shiseido Tsubaki shampoo, Kumano Tsubaki cleansing foam, and Shiseido lip balm

Plus some bento containers/supplies, and lots of other stuff for Yasu.

After unpacking it all, I checked my email and found that I had a payment for a card reading. My second client of the day!

I did the card reading and sent it to her, and she confirmed that everything I had said was right on the money with regards to where she is and what’s happening. I am really happy I could give her some insight, and happy with myself for being able to do this work. :)

I only yesterday asked the Angels if they could send me some “work”, and they reciprocated by sending it to me so fast! I’m really happy!

Misunderstood

Today I went out shopping and found a really nice winter coat that I couldn’t afford but I put it on lay-by anyway. It’s so nice to be able to shop in the normal person’s shop instead of the bigger ladies clothes (which by the way have horrible colour combinations like orange and purple dots and fit like a tent).

Halfway through my shopping I was called by my friend Jo and she asked me if I could go and work at her cafe because another girl quit with no notice, so I said sure, why not, I was already there anyway. I quickly went through the register and went to get a bite to eat before starting work.

I went to the sushiya in the foodcourt and got two pieces of inari zushi for $3.80 but it wasn’t very nice and it was quite filling so I only ate one.

I worked from 5:30 ~ 9:30 pm and it was really nice as Jo herself was there and it was actually very quiet most of the night, at the end it got quite busy and I was making coffees but I love that, so I was happy. We work really well together, so…yeah it wasn’t any trouble.

So anyway now I can afford that coat!! It’s about the same amount as the money I would make from tonight so that’s great. :) After work Jo dropped me off.

Actually Yasu was meant to pick me up. I called him just before I started work and told him we had no rice, he had to go shopping and get some and then could he come past and pick up some easter eggs and a birthday present from me that I had already bought.

Anyway, all night I kept an eye out for him but he never came, and he wasn’t there to pick me up either. When I called him he was in bed. Grrr. I said “why aren’t you here to pick me up?” and he said “I didn’t know I was supposed to”. Oh like what, I’m supposed to fly home? So anyway Jo gave me a lift home and when I got home Yasu opened the door and went back to bed and didn’t even help me with my stuff, which just made me even crosser.

I stormed around the kitchen mumbling to myself and then he comes out and starts yelling at me because he said he thought I said that he was meant to cook some rice but when he got home there was cooked rice in the fridge so he didn’t do anything.

I told him that he was to go buy some rice because we didn’t have any. Anyways, he ended up getting angry at me because he thought he understood me but he didn’t, and he can’t understand what I’m talking about and blah blah blah. And then I said to him, “oh well, so there is no rice for tomorrow night’s dinner then” and then he went into another rant and went into the bedroom and slammed the door. (That’s what I hate most is when I’m angry at him, then he gets angry at me for being angry at him!)

Great. He didn’t even ask how my work was. Men!

I sent him two text messages and called him about it, how much clearer could I be. Jeez. Sometimes he just doesn’t think.

So that’s my rant. Had a good day but Yasu ruined it.

A Better Day

Today I woke up feeling better about myself, actually roused myself to get out of bed at 11:30 am so that’s doing far better time-wise.

I got up, did the dishes and sat out on the patio reading a book for a while. Yasu came home at 4:30 and we watched Sumo for a while. His favourite is watching Yamamotoyama, ugh, he is just so big, all he needs to do is push the other wrestler and he falls out of the ring, and Y gets another victory under his belt. At that weight/size you need do no fancy moves to win. I’m only surprised he’s not a Yokozuna by now.

Anyway, about 5pm we left to go out and do some grocery shopping. We stopped into Jeanswest (a jeans store) and bought a shirt for Yasu, quite nice and it was on special too. Then we went and did some grocery shopping, and stopped in at my friends cafe.

She is currently having staff problems, and because I used to work there, she asked me to come back and work for her on Thursday nights and Saturdays which I agreed to. As I’ve written before I sometimes just go and work there to help because I like it, for fun. This is actually a paying gig, but I would work for free just because I love it. :)

She asked me if I felt like hitting the gym tomorrow morning and I agreed to that too. She was sad because I had been depressed and didn’t let her know…she wanted to help me. Nice of her but I just felt like sticking around. I’m sure the exercise will be good for my brain as well as my body. I have to go shopping after and buy some Easter eggs for Yasu. They’re currently 20% off and I want to get some while they’re still on special, that he doesn’t know about. We already bought eggs for our friends and family tonight, so at least that’s out of the way! I can’t believe how expensive easter eggs are this year. I guess it’s a sign of the times. Chocolate will no longer be an every day item, it will be relagated to the luxury purchases.

Not that I care, I’m happy eating my home made rocky road. :)

I also lost another 1 kg, so that’s great! Tonight at the shops I got compliments galore from people I bumped into so that’s a bit of a boost too. There’s also a rather horny hubby who can’t keep his hands off me. That’s only a few kilo’s down. Can’t imagine what it will be like when I have my Jennifer Hawkins body!

I’m reading a really good book at the moment called “Passing For Thin – Losing half my weight and finding myself” by Frances Kuffel. It is really an interesting read, and I found alot of her feelings I totally identify with. It’s amazing how non-fat people make you feel so low just for not looking like them. I’m really getting some inspiration from this woman’s journey, she’s amazing.

Well, I better call it a night. I’m keeping up with my blogging lately, must be I have more to say lately.

Night all :)

Going With Culture

I’m sure you can gather by the title of this post that i didn’t end up spending Christmas day miserable and alone. Yes, Yasu decided to work at 4:00 am Christmas morning until 9:00 am and came home just after 9:30 am to pick me up and take me to our friends house! Seems like all my jumping up and down about it actually got through to him.

We had a lovely day, my friend’s family was there and we were included as “family” because we are now considered that. It was a lovely warm atmosphere. Lucky i took extra wrapped presents because we received quite a few from family members that we didn’t expect. As it turns out we had brought just the right amount.

Yasu got a hot chocolate making set from our friend Jo, who owns a cafe. Every time he goes to her cafe, she makes him a mega hot chocolate with extra marshmallows, so now he can make his own. He was pretty happy with it as you can see from the pic.

Santa in shorts made a surprise visit and handed out presents from under the tree.

We had Thomas the Tank going up and down the middle of the table during lunch, courtesy of our friends’ husband’s creative mind and their 2 year old son’s toy box!

As Thomas Tank went down the track it made real chuga-chuga woo-oo noises and blew steam! What a treat and very unique experience.

I celebrated my Christmas meal of Turkey, Ham, Seafood (of which i didn’t have any) and salads with a grape chuhai.

You can see next to the chuhai is a wrapped up bag of fruit mince pies dusted with icing sugar, courtesy of our friend’s cafe. Everyone got a take home bag!

Lunch was finished off with berry pavlova. The pictures underneath are of the mass production going on before we sat down to eat them.

In all it was a great day, and both Yasu and i enjoyed ourselves. At the end of the night i farewelled Yasu as he went home. He was working the next day so i decided to stay at our friends house overnight. He didn’t mind.

I didn’t get much sleep as i was sleeping in their 4 year old son’s room, next to the 2 year old son’s room, and the 2 year old son was crying all night. When i finally got to sleep, i was woken up at 6 am by the 2 year old wanting to play!! He must have known i was in there… being the good guest that i am i got up and played with both son’s as the other one woke up not much later than the first one. When my friends got up and saw us all playing they said they should have me sleep over more often!

That day we had decided to go to the Perth Zoo, but because it was so hot we decided instead to go to the movies. We saw Madagasgar 2 which was really good, quite fun, and the music was very boppy. I enjoyed it even though i haven’t seen the first one. The lion characters reminded me very much of the good and bad lions in The Lion King.

Yasu came and picked me up at 4 pm and i went home and fell into bed and slept until about 10:30 pm. Yasu had been good and made his own dinner, not waking me in the process, and we spent a few hours together watching Japanese tv before going back to bed.
